Caring
Caring – this means we looked for evidence that the service involved people and treated them with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect. We assessed a limited number of quality statements in the safe key question and found areas of good practice. The scores for these areas have been combined with scores based on the rating from the last inspection, which was good.
This service scored 70 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.

Independence, choice and control
The service promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing. People told us staff treated them with care and respect and knew them well. One person told us, “The manager often calls me up to make sure I am happy, or if there is anything I need to change.” Care plans were written in a way which focused on the needs of the person and what they could do themselves. For example, ‘always ask [person] if there is anything else that needs to be done.' People told us staff were kind and caring. One person said "They are just a marvel, I cannot fault any of the staff.”
