Score: 3

There was a clear staffing structure at the service, with defined roles and responsibilities. The provider and management team completed audits and checks at the service which were used to identify where improvements were required and ensure action was taken as required. The system enabled the registered manager to have oversight at the service, however a more in-depth interrogation of information was needed in some areas, such as risk management, to ensure accurate outcomes. There were secure arrangements in place for the availability of information. The registered manager was able to provide records with ease during the assessment and respond promptly to any queries. Information was shared as needed with other agencies. This included statutory notifications as required by CQC.

Staff were positive about the management team and improvements to the service. A staff member said, “There has been implementation of change. A very huge document was produced with all of the change required, it’s a supportive document. Some things we have done for example, infection control we do walk around, we decluttered the home, I have seen improvement. Hospitality came in, we have champions now to identify where improvements are needed.” Another staff member said, “The management are excellent, yes of course very nice people and the manager he is nice. If we have concerns in terms of shifts, he helps and he is approachable.” Staff told us they were kept informed of changes and updates.
