During our assessment of this key question, we found 1 breaches of regulation. People’s care plans lacked the information needed to provide safe care and lacked the individual information needed to support staff to provide care tailored to people’s individual needs.

Some people were not aware of their care plan or the information it contained. However, people we spoke with were happy with the care they received.

Staff told us care plans did not feel personalised as some choices were defined as yes or no and the care plan lacked the ability to include details personal to people’s needs. However, staff were able to tell us about people’s needs and how they tailored the care they provided.

We observed staff providing care to people. They knew people’s preferred names and used them. Staff knew people’s likes and dislikes, their care needs and how they liked to be supported.
