Our view of the service
The Billesdon Surgery is a GP practice which provides a range of primary medical services from its location in Leicestershire. The GP practice is registered with the Care Quality Commission under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 to provide the following regulated activities; diagnostic and screening procedures, family planning, midwifery and maternity services, surgical procedures and treatment of disease, disorder or injury. We carried out an announced assessment of 4 quality statements; safeguarding, medicines optimisation, equity in access and governance, management and sustainability. We carried out our onsite assessment on 6th June 2024 and our off site assessment started on 4th June and ended on 7th June 2024. We found the practice had good systems and processes to keep people safe and there was an efficient management structure which supported good governance throughout the practice.
People's experience of this service
Feedback from patients was mainly positive regarding The Billesdon Surgery. We spoke with patients during the site visit at the practice and most patients reported positive feedback in relation to staff attitude, access to appointments and involvement with clinical care. There was one negative comment received around access via the telephone in the mornings. The practice completed their own patient feedback exercises to assess patient satisfaction and access to the surgery.
