Our view of the service
Date of assessment 9 September to 30 September 2024. Sutton Lodge is a ‘care home’ providing personal care and support to older people and people living with dementia. At the time of the assessment, the service was supporting 32 people with their personal care needs. Sutton Lodge was last rated Good (published 12 October 2023). The report was published following CQC’s old inspection approach using Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs), prompts and ratings characteristics. This assessment has been completed following the Care Quality Commission (CQC) new approach to assessment; Single Assessment Framework (SAF). We assessed a total of 6 quality statements from the safe, effective, and well-led key questions and found areas of concern. The scores for these areas have been combined with scores based on the key question ratings from the last inspection. Though the assessment of these 6 quality statements indicated some areas of concern since the last inspection, our overall rating remains Good.
