Our view of the service
Whittingham House is a 'care home.' People in care homes receive accommodation and nursing or personal care as a single package under one contractual agreement. CQC regulates both the premises and the care provided and both were looked at during this inspection. The service is set over 2 floors and has access to outside space. Whittingham House can support up to 70 people, at the time of our assessment 63 people were using the service.
People's experience of this service
People gave positive feedback on the service and the care and support they received. One person told us, “I am really happy here, the staff really look after me and they are all so caring.” A relative told us, “I go home after visiting [relative] feeling so content and assured [relative] is safe and being cared for by such amazing people. It is so homely here and I absolutely can’t praise it enough.”
