Care provision, Integration and continuity
Professionals who worked with people were complimentary about the home. They told us they found the staff team very approachable and communicated well with them. For example the staff team worked alongside the community mental health team and had organised meetings which were inclusive of all stakeholders and person centred. Professionals told us the staff considered all aspects of care and treatment and encouraged and facilitated people to plan their own support.
The provider understood the diverse needs of people and engaged with relevant professionals to ensure people received appropriate and consistent support. One example of this was that following an incident, the CCTV footage was reviewed to ensure the least restrictive practices were used and to identify de-escalation techniques for future learning and development.
Positive feedback was received from people who lived in the service. They were happy with the service and the support they received from staff.
Staff were supported to speak up about any concerns they had in the workplace. The provider saw this as vital because it helped them keep improving the service for people who lived at the home and improve the working environment for staff.
