Our rating for this key question remains good. People were content with the care and support they received. Staff responded well to people’s needs. People, staff and relatives were supported to raise their concerns, speak with management, and discuss their views and feedback. No concerns were raised about discrimination or inequality.

The service proactively encouraged feedback from all people and their relatives on a range of issues. Feedback from meetings held was taken seriously, with action taken to improve people’s experiences wherever possible. People felt staff responded to their needs. They were happy with their care. People could raise any concerns with the registered manager and staff. One person told us, “We have resident meetings. I think they listen to what we would like and do their best.” One relative told us, “Staff are great here. They really care. [Person] is treated with dignity and respect.”

Staff told us people were treated fairly and equally. One said, “residents are included in activities without discrimination based on behaviour or race.” Another said, “Our care home adheres to strict policies and procedures that ensures everyone receives the same high standard of care.” The provider was in the process of recruiting a staff member for the role of ‘Dementia Ambassador’. This role was to support further development of the provider’s Dementia Care services and their commitment to “enhance the lifestyle of our residents, whilst ensuring that our teams are supported to enable them to deliver truly person-centred care.”
