Our view of the service

Date of assessment: 29 July – 6 August 2024. This service is registered with CQC under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 in respect of some, but not all, of the services it provides. Private GP Clinic provides a range of non-surgical cosmetic interventions, for example dermal fillers and laser hair removal which are not within CQC scope of registration. Therefore, we did not assess or report on these services. We conducted this assessment due to receiving information of concern and assessed 7 quality statements across safe and well-led key question. We have combined the scores for these areas with scores from the last inspection. The clinic operates through 6 sites, we visited 5 of these sites and found all the premises were maintained to high standards. We found many examples of effectively operated governance processes in both clinical and non-clinical areas. The staff described the leaders as open and approachable. They felt supported, heard, and confirmed that their concerns were addressed when raised. The practice had systems and processes in place to identify and manage risks, and we found that most areas of the service were well managed, ensuring the safety and support of the people involved. However, we found concerns related to medicines management which resulted in breach of Regulation 12 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulate Activities) Regulations 2014. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.

People's experience of this service

To hear from patients about their experiences we asked the practice to share details of our ‘Give feedback on care’ with their patients. The patients felt they had positive experiences when accessing care, support and treatment. Patients feedback suggested that the practice employed highly competent staff who had the skills to deliver effective care and treatment.
