Updated 4 March 2024

We carried out a targeted assessment of this service on the 22 January 2024 without a site visit. Overall, the practice is rated as good. We rated the key question of responsive as good. We carried out this assessment as part of our work to understand how practices are working to try to meet demand for access and to better understand the experiences of people who use services and providers. This assessment was carried out remotely. It did not include a site visit. The process included conducting an interview with the provider and members of staff using video conferencing. By reviewing patient feedback from a range of sources, requesting evidence from the provider, reviewing data we hold about the service, and seeking information/feedback from relevant stakeholders. Patient education and experience were the focus of the practice and building extension work was underway to create further access to clinicians. The provider had introduced a twice daily sit and wait clinic for patients. This meant a patient could come to the practice and be given a same day appointment within a 30 minute time period and bee seen by a clinician.

Equity in access

Score: 3

The provider had up to date policies and processes in place at the time of our inspection. There was evidence to show how patient feedback regarding quality of care delivered was monitored and there were clear action plans and policies for all changes implemented at the practice.

The provider would undertake annual staff surveys and would also welcome staff feddback in practice meetings that were held. The provider also had multi-disciplinary meetings that discussed vulnerable patient groups and feedback was given during each meeting.
