Our view of the service
Date of assessment 14 February 2024 to 6 March 2024. The assessment was prompted initially by the GP Responsive Assessment Programme looking at Equity in Access. As part of that initial assessment potential risks were identified in all of the key questions and the scope was widened. During the assessment we saw that the provider had already identified areas for improvement and these had been implemented. However, they were not yet sufficiently embedded at the time of the site visit to demonstrate positive patient impact.
People's experience of this service
Feedback from people about the practice via GFOC (Give feedback on care) was mixed. We received 150+ negative responses from people who said they were unhappy with the services they received. They mentioned rude and unhelpful staff, lack of qualified staff, and little confidence in the clinical staff. However, we also received 100+ positive responses from people who said they felt involved in decisions about their care and treatment, that staff were helpful and that services had recently improved. While the feedback we received expressed that people were generally unhappy with their care, our assessment found that the elements of care provided, met the expected standards.
