Overall inspection

Good

Updated 6 October 2020

We carried out a desk based follow up inspection of Family Medical Centre on 22 July 2020. This inspection was undertaken to follow up on a breach of regulation which had been identified at our previous inspection in May 2018 in relation to good governance.

Previous reports for this provider can be accessed on our website at www.cqc.org.uk.

At this inspection we found that the requirement notice had been fully met and the service is now rated ‘Good’ for providing safe services.

Our key finding across the area that we inspected for this focussed inspection was as follows:

  • Medicines were now safely managed at the practice. Previous issues relating to emergency medicines, the vaccination fridge, prescribing practices and controlled drugs collections had all been resolved.

Details of our findings are set out in the evidence table.
