Our view of the service
We carried out this on-site, announced assessment on 1 October 2024. We found the practice had met regulations all regulations. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and infection control procedures were in place. The practice had systems to manage risks. The practice is in Bishops Stortford and provides NHS and private orthodontic care and treatment for adults and children. There was step free access to the practice and dedicated parking for disabled people was available at the practice. The practice had 8 treatment rooms. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 3 orthodontists, 6 orthodontic therapists, 10 dental nurses, 3 trainee dental nurses, 3 receptionists, 4 treatment co-ordinators, 1 practice manager and 3 additional support staff.
People's experience of this service
Patient feedback we saw commented on the very kind and caring nature of staff who were very knowledgeable and helpful. Patients also commented that it was an excellent service with wonderful staff, and they would highly recommend the practice. The practice requested feedback from patients on a regular basis. The most recent survey consisted of 96 completed feedback forms. This feedback was evaluated and shared with the team during regular practice meetings.
