People told us they were treated with dignity and respect and said the staff were caring and understood their needs. The provider had systems in place to promote the wellbeing of their staff, however, staff did not feel these systems were effectively used. Staff told us they did not feel valued or supported. People confirmed staff deliver person centred care.

People and their relatives were happy with the support they received. People felt their privacy and dignity were respected.

Staff we spoke with were able to talk about how they supported people to remain independent and how they offer choice to people.

People’s care plans we reviewed, showed people had been involved in decisions about their care. Care plans were person centred and included people’s preferences.

Workforce wellbeing and enablement

Staff gave negative feedback about the support they received from the management team. Staff told us they did not feel the management team were approachable and they didn’t feel listened to.

The provider evidenced they were interested in the wellbeing of staff and offered opportunities for staff to develop in the service. Although staff feedback did not reflect the processes.
