Caring
The service was caring. Staff were kind and caring. People and relatives feedback was positive regarding the service provided. People were clean and appeared well cared for.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
People who were able, told us they happy living at the service and staff were kind and caring. One person said, “Staff talk to you and listen to you. The majority of them are very, very good.” Relatives were extremely positive about the service and the care their relative received. Comments included, “Fabulous care, outstanding even. It's still got a lovely atmosphere”, “The care that he gets is brilliant”, “I think the staff are brilliant so far and they have been very kind and respectful and I am amazed”, “Absolutely happy with the way staff talk about my husband and they seem to know him well”, ““They saved his and my life and they have been wonderful”, “They love (Person’s name), they interact with him and when he is awake they keep him engaged” and ““Early days but so far they have been wonderful. They seem knowledgeable and he is always dressed well and looked after.”
Staff spoke about treating people with respect and maintaining their dignity. They told us about spending time with people, talking to them and offering reassurance where needed.
We observed that people looked well cared for and were clean and dressed appropriately with matching clothes. People looked happy and relaxed in staffs’ company. There appeared to be a friendly, calm atmosphere during our site visits. All interactions by staff with people were kind, caring and compassionate. Staff were observed to be promoting people’s independence wherever possible.
