Oldbury Grange Nursing Home

During an assessment under our new approach

Oldbury Grange Nursing Home is a care home providing personal and nursing care to up to 69 people. At the time of the inspection 57 people were using the service. The service provides support to people over 65 and younger adults including those with physical disabilities and people living with dementia. Our assessment of the service started on 4 June 2024 and ended on 17 June 2024. Two inspectors carried out an unannounced visit to the home on 4 June 2024 and one inspector visited the home on 5 June 2024. During our assessment of the service we looked at all of the quality statements relating to all of the key questions. This was the first assessment of the service since a change in the provider in January 2023. The home was well-led by a manager who was in the process of registering with us. There were effective systems in place to monitor and improve the quality and safety of the service provided. Staff had the training and skills to carry out their role effectively. Systems were in place to ensure people received care and support in accordance with their needs and preferences. People’s views were valued and responded to and any learning from incidents or complaints were shared with staff and used to drive improvements.
