Equity in experiences and outcomes
Family member said, “They used to go to more clubs but a lot of the clubs stopped during covid 19 and haven’t been restarted.” Another said, “[relative] is well known in the local community.” One person told us they receive support to access the local shops and have been on trips to the zoo, a castle and supported to go on holidays.
Staff reported they do their best to provide opportunities for people to experience new activities and a good quality of life. Staff said they promote community access and social groups. Staff spoke of recent trips using public transport.
Staff provided people with person-centred care and people were given choices and encouraged to follow their routines, interests, and encouraged to maintain contact with friends and relatives so that their independence was promoted, and social isolation minimised.
