Staff had a good understanding of Equality and Diversity and told us how they put into practice in their day to day work. The provider had an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy in place and staff committed to a code of conduct when joining the service which set out the expectation of how they would treat people and carry out their duties. People were provided with regular opportunities to feedback on the care provided.

People told us staff treated them well and they how they were involved in the planning of their care. People also knew where they could raise concerns if they needed too.

Staff also told us about the training they had received in equality and diversity. Staff told us how they put this training in to practice by ensuring people were treated equally and fairly, and received care and support which met their individual needs.

People's care had been tailored to meet their individual needs and outcomes, people received co-ordinated care which empowered their independence. The provider had a strategy and policy in place on how staff should promote equality in their work. The provider also had employee networks to support staff with protected characteristics.
