We reviewed ‘delivering evidence-based care and treatment’ evidence category for the effective key question. We rated this as good. Delivering evidence-based care and treatment
Staff gave people clear information about their care and their treatment needed to support both their physical and mental health. Staff met people’s nutrition and hydration needs. We reviewed lots of positive feedback about the nutrition provided to children and their families. Feedback on nutrition from patients and family members was positive.
Staff followed guidance and evidence-based practice. The service had a regular audit programme which showed the service was performing well against targets and that the results and any improvement points were discussed at quality governance meetings.
The service had policies which were regularly reviewed to ensure staff followed current best practice when caring for children and young people. Staff stated policies were accessible.
