Independent review of our technology

We know that technology failures have impacted significantly on our ability to be an effective regulator.

Dr Penny Dash’s independent review into our operational effectiveness concluded that – among other things – poorly performing IT systems are hampering our ability to roll out the new assessment framework. It also recognised the frustration and time lost for colleagues and providers.

In our response to the review we committed to making sure we have the right systems and tools in place to support our regulatory activity. As part of that, Chief Executive Julian Hartley has commissioned an independent review to look specifically at our technology.
