During an inspection in response to concerns
People who used the service were enabled to make decisions where possible and their privacy and dignity was respected.
We found patients were protected against the risks of receiving care or treatment that was inappropriate or unsafe. Records we looked at told us that people experienced effective and appropriate care, treatment and support.
All of the six patients we spoke with and who were able to comment told us they felt safe on the ward. We found patients were protected from abuse and suitable arrangements were in place to respond to any allegations of abuse.
We found the environment was spacious and clean, providing individual bedrooms with ensuite facilities. We also found some restrictive practices were in place following identified risk issues within the garden area. However, this was rectified during our visit allowing the use of the outside garden area.
