During a routine inspection

People we spoke with told us that Hawkwell Court was a good place to live. We observed the communal areas where people gathered, to be calm, friendly and relaxed. One person told us 'I've been here fifteen years, it's good, I'm happy'. Another person told us 'the staff are nice, I feel safe'. One person told us 'staff are definitely around if I need them, it's not bad here'.

We found that people were included in decisions about their treatment and care and that people were treated according to individual assessed need. The premises was suitably designed and adequately maintained and there were enough suitably qualified and trained staff to meet the needs of the service.
