During an inspection in response to concerns
People told us that they felt safe and cared for at the hospital. They believed that the staff would seek support as needed either to transfer them to another hospital, or enable them to go home or to an alternative care provider. They were able to maintain their own routine although they understood that due to the environment or their needs changing these may have to be adapted, but people felt they were consulted. People said they liked the food, the quality and the choices available, and this was helped by the food being prepared and cooked at the hospital. It was easy for them to move about the building if they were able and access facilities such as the bathroom and lounges. They liked the interaction with the staff. They said they are able to give their opinion for example about the food and they felt 'respected and heard'.
