During an inspection in response to concerns
Patients we spoke with were very complimentary about the staff and facilities available to them. They told us the hospital was 'excellent'. One patient likened the hospital to a '5 star hotel'. Another patient told us that staff took their time when assisting with personal tasks and that they did not feel hurried. All of the patients we spoke to told us they knew what was happening with regard to their care.
Patients also told us that the food was home made and 'excellent'. They were given a choice of meals with an alternative always available if they did not like the choice on any particular day.
Staff were seen to have good relationships with patients. They knew the patient well and responded quickly to requests.
An exercise session took place in the morning in the conservatory. There was a relaxed atmosphere all patients who took part appeared to enjoy it.
