During a routine inspection
Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. Care plan records had been reviewed regularly and updated as necessary which meant that any changes in people's needs were provided for.
People who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.
People were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard. As well as providing mandatory training for staff, the provider had developed or sourced training they had identified as being necessary for staff to receive in order to effectively meet the needs of people who used the service.
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive. The service's care and support standards manager carried out mock inspections of the service against Care Quality Commission standards to maintain compliance and review care quality.
There was an effective complaints system available and comments and complaints people made were responded to appropriately.
