Date of assessment: 31 October 2024. This assessment was in response to CQC receiving information of concern. People were supported to keep safe by sufficient numbers of trained staff that were recruited safely. Infection, prevention and control practices were followed by the staff team and monitored by the management team to ensure effective systems were in place. The overall rating for the service remains Good.

Relatives confirmed their loved one’s needs were met and they were kept informed of any changes. There were sufficient numbers of suitably recruited and trained staff. Relatives confirmed the home was kept clean. One relative said, “It can’t be easy for the staff, but they keep on top of the cleaning. I don’t have any concerns.” The home was cleaned on an ongoing basis and infection, prevention and control practices (IPC) were in place. We identified one area where cleaning could be improved, this was the underneath of hand wash dispensers. The registered manager confirmed this would be added to cleaning schedules. We saw that ongoing monitoring of IPC practices was in place, to ensure areas for improvement were identified and action taken as needed.
