During a routine inspection
One woman told us she felt she had been listened to and had a home birth by candlelight. She said 'It's how every woman deserves to be treated'.
Another woman said 'The way they view childbirth is so very different and empowering' and another told us their care had been 'Outstanding'. The father we spoke with said the flexible appointments offered by the service meant he was able to be more involved in the pregnancy; he described the staff as 'Very good'.
We found the provider had suitable systems in place to make sure people were respected and involved in decisions about their care and welfare.
We found people's care and treatment was planned and delivered to take account of their individual needs and was evidence based. There were also processes in place to ensure co-operation with other providers.
We found there were suitable systems in place to safeguard people who used the service.
We found the staff were trained and supported appropriately to carry out their roles and responsibilities and the provider had effective systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of the services.
