During a routine inspection
We found that people were positive about the service and the staff. One person had commented "The team are lovely and made me feel at ease on the day of my operation." Another person commented "The skill and attention shown to me has been great."
We saw evidence that the service had resuscitation equipment, that staff had up to date training to deal with emergency situations and that infection control practices were appropriate to prevent the spread of infection.
Medicines were stored and managed appropriately. The Practice Manager told us how patient feedback was collected to understand how the service performed. We saw evidence of clinical audit findings that were used to improve care outcomes after surgery.
We looked at training records that showed clinical staff, including the Consultant Surgeon, undertook appropriate learning activities.
