During a routine inspection
People told us their needs were assessed and that they felt confident they were safe when being supported by the care workers.
People we spoke with said their care workers were professional and competent
People told us that the agency contacted them regularly to ask if they were happy with the service
We found that staff had not had appropriate pre-employment checks before they started caring for people in their own homes. There were gaps in care workers' employment records and a full employment history had not been obtained for each person.
Staff training and supervision records did not evidence that staff had received training or were competent to do their job.
The provider did not have effective systems to evaluate the quality of care people received. There was limited information about how people's views were being used to improve the service or on the action taken by the agency to make improvements.
We found this information in care records was not always recorded, dated and signed by staff.
