All Inspections

During a routine inspection

People told us that they were treated with dignity and respect. Staff encouraged people to be as independent as possible. One person who used the service said 'They encouraged me to do things for myself and start to build up my confidence. They did it in a manner that wasn't pushy but encouraging when I needed reassurance'.

Another person who used the service said 'The staff never fail to gauge your needs. They take time to get to know you'.

The members of staff we spoke with were clear in their understanding of what might constitute abuse and the procedure they would follow if an allegation of abuse was made to them or they suspected abuse had occurred.

One member of staff told us 'The training is excellent. I feel really confident. I always feel I have back up and someone at the end of a phone'. People consistently told us that they felt the staff genuinely had time for them and the visits were not rushed.

The provider had arrangements in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of the services provided. The provider employed two home support managers. Their role included identifying, assessing and managing risks relating to the peoples' health, welfare and safety. People were asked for their feedback on the service they had received.
