Our view of the service
The practice had improved systems to manage risks. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. There were improvements to the leadership and governance of the practice. The Orthodontic Centre (Wokingham) is part of The Orthodontic Centre Reading Limited, a dental group provider. The practice is in Wokingham, Berkshire and provides NHS and private orthodontic dental care and treatment for adults and children. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 2 specialist orthodontists, 2 dentists with specialist interest, 2 dental nurses, 3 orthodontic therapists, 1 practice manager, 1 assistant practice manager, 1 compliance lead, 2 treatment coordinators, 1 accounts manager and 2 receptionists. The practice had 3 treatment areas. During the assessment we spoke with the practice manager and compliance lead.
