During a routine inspection
We asked people who used the service what they thought of the care they received; one person said, 'It's good; the girls [care workers] are excellent. The whole company's got a lot better in the last six or seven months. I'm really pleased.'
We reviewed four care plans and saw each person who received care had an individual risk assessment for medication. It was evident this was reviewed annually or sooner if necessary.
We spoke with a care worker. They told us they felt they had enough time and support to care for people and meet their needs. The staff rotas showed there was adequate travelling time between each call; this was confirmed by the two members of staff we spoke with.
We asked people if they were able to make complaints and how these were managed. One person said, 'I have had reason to complain before and to be fair they put things right straight away.'
