During a routine inspection
People were involved in their care planning. We saw that information about the care and support required was available to all care workers. Where a person's needs changed their plan of care was reviewed.
Staff had received training in safeguarding vulnerable adults. The care workers and managers we spoke with had a good understanding of the process to follow if they thought a person was being abused.
We saw that there were enough staff to provide the care and support required. We also saw that additional staff could be accessed at short notice, for example if a care worker was ill.
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received. People were contacted by the manager at least every three months and asked for their views on the service.
Comments from the people we spoke with included 'I always know the carers and always feel safe', 'Since [Elite Homecare] has been coming round my quality of life has improved' and 'They are excellent. I'd recommend them to others, there's no question about that'.
