Gloucester City Health Centre – WG is situated in the inner-city area of Gloucester. It has approximately 7,800 patients registered with a range of cultures and ethnicity with a high number of patients from black and minority ethnic communities (approximately 19.4 % of registered patients). There is a telephone interpretation service available onsite to assist with any translation issues.

The practice partnership includes three GP partners. They also employ two salaried GPs. One is male and four are female GPs. All GPs worked part-time and the whole time equivalent of GPs was approximately 3.5. GPs were supported by a Paramedic Practitioner, two practice nurses and a health care assistant. The practice management and administration team includes a practice manager, a senior receptionist and a range of administration and reception staff.
The general Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) population profile for the geographic area of the practice, shows the practice area population is in the second most deprived decile. (An area itself is not deprived: it is the circumstances and lifestyles of the people living there that affect its deprivation score. Not everyone living in a deprived area is deprived and that not all deprived people live in deprived areas). The practice has approximately a 20% patient turnover annually.
