During our visit we spoke with people who use the service, the manager and staff. We saw that the staff treated the people using the service with dignity and respect and there was a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.A person we spoke with said, "The staff here don't hold back, which is a good thing as you get told things straight", "If a member of staff can't answer a question they always find someone who can".
We saw that the seating area and the needle exchange were clean and tidy. There was information on the services and activities provided during the week displayed in the cafe area and people using the service could either drop in to an activity or book a place.
The members of staff we spoke with felt the training was very good and they could access courses that supported their role. They felt that they were supported by the manager.
A person using the service said "It's good being around people who understand you and know what you are going through".
