During a routine inspection
We found that children and their families were involved and consulted about the service provided. The relative we spoke with told us, 'This is by far the best service I've experienced. I've been very impressed at how we and (child) have been involved.'
Children's needs were assessed and care was planned and delivered to meet their individual needs. We found there were comprehensive and detailed care plans in place covering all aspects of the child's care and treatment.
We found that children using the service were protected from abuse or the risk of abuse by staff awareness and the policies in place.
Staff had received appropriate training and support. The relative said, 'I'm very confident in the staff. They're well supported and supervised. Their training is good ' they know how to care for (child).'
There were systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided. The systems were not all fully active because the service had only been operational for about six months.
