During a routine inspection
We found that patients felt the GPs, nurses and reception staff treated them with respect. They told us they were involved in their consultation and treatment planning. Patients told us they were allowed time to choose what they wanted to happen and their decision was respected. They stated their dignity was always protected.
Patients felt included in the planning of the practice and involved in the planned merger with other GP practices locally.
We found people felt their health needs and welfare was met by the practice. We saw that the practice ensured people's health needs were tracked, people could see a GP on the day in an emergency and their chosen GP should they wish to within a reasonable timeframe. People with long term prescription needs felt the system for repeats was well managed.
We found the practice had robust systems in place to ensure both children and adults were safeguarded.
We found the staff to be knowledgeable about their role, well trained and supported. We found that people's competencies were regularly appraised. Patients told us they felt safe that the medical staff were suitably trained and able to respond to their needs.
We saw the practice had policies and practices to ensure they were delivering and monitoring the quality of the services provided.
