Our view of the service
SureCare Trafford is a domiciliary care agency, providing care to people within their own homes. At the time of the assessment the service provided care and support to older people, people with personal care needs, sensory impairments, dementia, mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities. Our assessment of the service started on the 13/03/2024. We carried out an on-site assessment on the 19 March 2024 with our assessment concluding on the 12 July 2024. This assessment was prompted due to concerns received from outside partners. We looked at 2 quality statements under the key questions of safe and well-led; safe and effecting staffing and capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders. As this was a focused assessment, we did not assess the key questions caring, effective and responsive. During the assessment we contacted 4 people who used the service, 1 relative of a person who used the service, and also spoke with the registered manager, care manager, care coordinator and 5 care staff. We found safe recruitment practices were in place but identified concerns relating to the leadership of the service.
People's experience of this service
All the people we spoke with were positive about staff working at the service. They told us staff arrived on time, stayed the full length of the call, and completed all agreed tasks. People said, “The guys they send me are very good & I get on with them well. They speak good English, are very punctual and stay the full 30 minutes.” Further comments from people supported included: “Very punctual, all well trained, very helpful and nice” and “I’ve found the staff to be responsive, caring, considerate people."
