During a routine inspection

We were not able to speak with people who used the service. There were few people in the clinic when we inspected the service and it was not appropriate to ask them questions related to this service, as it was of such a personal nature. People's contact details were confidential and we could not take anyone's details to speak to them by phone after our inspection. We relied on comment cards, records, information we hold about the provider and what the staff told us to form our judgements.

Comment cards we reviewed were mainly positive and contained comments such as, 'Very helpful nurse. I completely understand the contraception I am having,' and 'The people are helpful and friendly. Don't make you feel uncomfortable.' We saw that where negative comments were received such as the length of waiting times action had been taken to address this.

There were procedures in place to monitor the quality of service provided. Staff we spoke with displayed a knowledge of their local communityand were committed to providing a quality service.
