During a routine inspection
One person told us they had been using the service forever but this was the first time they had seen this dentist since they took over from the previous dentist. They told us "I was happy with my treatment today and the advice I was given. I will come back when I decide what I want to have done."
The dental nurse told us they had been working in the service for four years and enjoyed working with the patients. They said "It is a good place to work and the patients all seem to be happy with their treatments." The practice manager had only been working there for less than two months.
We found the dentist involved the people who used the service in decisions about their treatments. They were able to make the decision based on advice given and cost. We saw the dentist respect the wishes of a person by carrying out the treatment requested and offering advice on further treatment at a later date.
The Practice was clean and tidy and the clinical areas were well cared for. The cleansing and sterilisation of instruments was carried out efficiently and appropriately.
