During a routine inspection
We spoke with people who received varying levels of support. Everyone was very happy with the service that they received. Staff told us that care plans enabled them to meet people's needs consistently. People told us that staff met their needs in ways that they preferred. Staff told us that risk assessments had improved and were now more user friendly.
People who received a service told us that they were supported by a well trained and well supported staff team. Staff told us that communication within the service had improved and that team building events had taken place to help them develop as a team.
We looked at how the service protected people. The registered manager had attended training in Adult Protection. They showed us how they had worked with professionals to identify and investigate issues. We saw how financial monitoring had improved to ensure greater protection.
We saw that the service had effective systems in place to monitor, assess and review the quality of the service provided. We saw how senior managers had supported the Community Living team to identify barriers to communication. Staff told us that they now felt listened to.
