During a routine inspection
We asked people about information they were given on their treatment, how this had been explained to them, and if they felt they had been fully prepared for the personal commitment they had to make, to ensure the success of their treatment. One person told us how they had decided on their course of treatment, having had all options explained to them. This person explained 'I was told that the treatment would take approximately two years, but that it could go on a bit longer. It is a lot of hard work, and you have to make sure you keep up all your oral hygiene routines and report any problems to the orthodontist." We asked a person who had finished their course of treatment, if their expectations had been met. They told us "I'm so pleased with the results, they are actually better than I expected. Everything was fully explained to me, which really helped. I thought the service was excellent."
During our inspection, we found the practice was clean, tidy and well ordered. Information posters and leaflets were freely available, on treatments, costs involved and who to request further advice from.
