During a routine inspection
We asked patients for their opinion on the practice. They all, without exception said they were happy with the service provided. Comments included “It’s lovely here, they really put me at ease”, “They’ve been brilliant and are very friendly” and “I like them, it’s a lovely place to come.”
We found the dental surgeries were laid out in accordance with the best practice guidance. We saw all surfaces were clean and the room was tidy with no clutter. Personal protective equipment (PPE) was available for staff to use when carrying out dental procedures and decontamination processes.
We found there were effective recruitment and selection policies and processes in place. We looked at three staff files in detail. We saw evidence that staff employed had been through recruitment checks prior to commencing employment.
All of the patients we spoke with said that they knew they could speak to a member of staff if they had a complaint. One patient said "I haven’t had to complain but I would tell them if I wasn’t happy.”
