During a routine inspection
People told us they could make informed choices about their dental treatment. One person told us, "They explain options. It's excellent. I couldn't fault it." Another person told us, "They do explain clearly what is going to happen. They have showed me things on the computer."
People we spoke with were complimentary about the care and treatment they received. Their comments included, "All the dentists I have dealt with have been very good" and "I like the dentists. They are easy to talk to; all of them." People told us that they could get an appointment quickly if necessary.
The provider had appropriate safeguarding procedures in place, and staff had sufficient training to deal with issues in relation to protecting people from the risk of abuse.
People we spoke with told us the practice was very clean. One person said, "The cleanliness is excellent; I couldn't fault it." The practice followed best practice standards for dentistry set by the Department of Health in guidance known as HTM 01-05.
The practice had a detailed and comprehensive recruitment policy in place. All clinical staff who worked at the practice were registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
The provider had in place a range of processes to monitor the quality and safety of the services.
