During a routine inspection
A relative of one person told us "I am really pleased with the care, they treat them so kindly". They also told us that care staff "know and understand" their relative. One person who used the service told us that care staff were "very careful when helping me to mobilise" and another relative of someone who used the service told us "they go out of their way to do that extra bit".
We found that staff had a good understanding of people's care needs and that the service made sure that people received continuity of care as they regularly saw the same small number of carers.
People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse as the provider had robust governance in place to make sure concerns were raised and managed as appropriate. The provider also made sure that the service learned from incidents and implemented improvements to care quality as necessary. Regular audits and checks were carried out, as well as observations of the delivery of care, to make sure that the quality of care was continually assessed and improved.
We found that the service had enough suitably experienced and qualified staff to effectively manage the delivery of care.
