During an inspection looking at part of the service

We inspected this service in October 2013 and found it to be non-compliant in regard to training provision for staff. This inspection was a follow-up to that inspection. We spoke with the registered manager and another staff member and we saw training certificates for six staff, and two supervision records.

During a routine inspection

During our inspection we reviewed the records that were held in the office and spoke with the registered manager. After the inspection we contacted and spoke with 13 people who used the agency and 5 members of staff. People were very complimentary of the service and told us the staff were "very good" and that the organisation was "well run".

Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare.

The agency had a robust recruitment process in place.

Staff had not received adequate training to ensure they were qualified and competent to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard.

People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
