During a routine inspection
We looked at the care plans for these three people and saw that they had given their written consent for personal care to be provided for them at home. We saw that the care plans included clear information about people's daily care needs.
When we asked people about the care they received at home one person told us: 'They sit and have a chat and always ask if I need anything. I couldn't ask for nicer people.' Another person said: 'They are very kind and helpful, nice people, well-mannered. They come and sit and talk to me. Yes, it's very satisfactory.'
We checked that the provider employed appropriate people to be care workers and we spoke with three care workers about their work supporting people at home. They told us: 'I love this job and I feel well supported by the manager. He goes through everything you need to know about people's needs until you're comfortable.' 'We are given enough time to talk with people and that's what they want us to do'. 'We're not rushed in our work; we are encouraged to gain knowledge and skills and we get on well as a working team.'
The provider had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service.
