During a routine inspection
The owner told us they had needed to up date the premises. We saw work had been undertaken on the premises to up-date and improve the treatment rooms.
We spoke with seven patients by phone the day before our visit. Patients were all positive about the treatment and service received at Hillfields. They told us:
"It's five star. The level of service is brilliant."
"Very good...I'm very happy....I don't live nearby but come here because he's the best person."
"I'm really scared of the dentist but she really puts me at ease and has a voice that makes you feel less scared."
We spoke with all staff working on the day of our visit. Staff told us they enjoyed working at Hillfields and worked well as a team.
The surgery is located in an area with an ethnically and culturally diverse population. We saw staff working well to support the needs of the local community.
We saw the treatment rooms were clean. We observed staff undertake good infection prevention procedures.
We looked at staff recruitment. We saw staff had the qualifications and experience to provide dental care to patients.
We saw there were systems in place to monitor and improve the quality of service provided to patients.
