We were unable to communicate with the people using the service, due to their limited verbal communication. We observed people being supported by staff in a caring manner.

Family members and a professional we spoke to felt that staff had the skills and knowledge required to support people in a safe way.

Family members also felt able to report any concerns to the agency.

We saw that people's needs were assessed, and care plans were in place. This meant they received support in a way they prefer.

Some staff were not up to date with all areas of essential training. This did not ensure that all staff were working to current practice and guidance.

We found that there were systems in place to monitor the quality of the service, and make improvements where required.
