During a routine inspection
In recent patient feedback people rated the treatment they had received as "very good" overall. People we spoke with described the service as "excellent" and "very good". Relevant information about peoples' medical and optical history were taken, they underwent assessments and their treatment plans were based on the results of these.
There were appropriate procedures in place for the maintenance of a clean and hygienic environment which were being followed. People described the cleanliness of the service as "absolutely fine" and "spotless".
When staff started at the service they underwent an induction. All staff underwent mandatory training in appropriate topics and there was a procedure in place for staff to receive annual appraisals.
People using the service were asked to provide feedback on the quality of care and treatment that they received and this was used by senior staff to help improve the quality of the service they were providing.
